Throughout the week of May 17-23, 2009, Ontarians in cities and towns across the province participated in the second annual Energy Conservation Week pledging to conserve energy, save money and reduce greenhouse gases though a variety of ways.

Energy Conservation Week was the focal point of an ongoing four-month campaign leading up to the Count Me In Community Challenge Day on August 14 where communities across Ontario will challenge each other to reduce energy consumption.
