Welland Hydro-Electric System Corp. recently presented Woodrose Co-operative Homes with a cheque for $3,492 after completing an extensive lighting retrofit throughout all three of their buildings located at 855 Ontario Road - where older, inefficient lighting was replaced with energy efficient lighting. “We are very motivated to continually improve our buildings” said Nancy Buote, President of the Woodrose Co-operative Homes Board of Directors. “Energy efficiencies and environmental benefits are extremely important to our Board and our residents and we incorporate these considerations into all decisions related to building improvements”.
Woodrose Co-operative Homes took advantage of the Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program, commonly referred to as ERIP, offered by Welland Hydro-Electric System Corp. which offers financial incentives to consumers for making energy efficient upgrades.
